UPSC has Invited online Application for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2017

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications to conduct National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (I) Examination 2017 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 139th Course and for the 101st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02-01-2018.
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be as under :—

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2001 are eligible.

Educational Qualifications:

1. For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :— 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Application FEE:
Candidates (excepting SC/ ST candidates and sons of serving/ ex-Junior Commissioned Offcers/ Non-Commissioned Officers/ Other Ranks of Army and equivalent ranks in the Indian Navy/ Indian Air Force.)are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of Cash in any Branch of SBI or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Examination, Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence & Personality Test and SSB Interview.

HOW TO APPLY:
Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in only from 18th January to 10th February 2017. No other mode is allowed for submission of application.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:
The Online Applications can be filled upto 10th February, 2017 till 6.00 PM.

PENALITY FOR WRONG ANSWERS:
Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
